North Carolina Vacations

North Carolina has something for everyone. Wilmington is quite a historic area where you are able to tour the Battleship North Carolina, or take a paddle boat ride on the Cape Fear river. Wilmington entered the pages of history before the Revolutionary War and was the last Atlantic port open to blockade runners during the Civil War. The continuous restoration and preservation in the Historic District are a tribute to the city’s heritage.

Ocracoke Island is the southernmost of the inhabited Outer Banks Islands, but is only accessible by ferry or air. Still, hundreds of visitors arrive each summer to visit the lighthouse, enjoy the beaches or shop at the local businesses. Ocracoke Island, the southernmost of a string of barrier islands that lie just off the coast of North Carolina better known as the Outer Banks, provides visitors a glimpse of true seclusion amidst rare beauty.
